The Christmas Tag: Blogmas Day 11

I was tagged by Katie at Synderellax to do The Christmas Tag. I am tagging anyone reading this and I will be tagging fellow bloggers on Instagram.

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?
Elf. I think this is because my dad is obsessed with this movie and quotes it non-stop around the holidays.

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Yes. Being born in Ohio and living in New Jersey, it's frequently a white Christmas. Lately, NJ hasn't gotten much snow, which I am okay with, but it's been a few years since I saw a white Christmas.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Home. Even when I was living in Florida last year, I came home for Christmas. There is nothing like being home for the holidays.

4. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Yes! Since I was a kid, my parents always let my sisters and I open a gift from them on Christmas Eve. It's usually matching or similar gifts.

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
"You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen, but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph!"

So yes I can! That may be cheating but I can't help if the song is ingrained in my head this season.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
I am looking forward to baking and wrapping gifts. I love to bake around this time of year.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake. I have had a real one once when I wasn't home for the holidays but my mom is very, very allergic. I actually prefer fake. You can buy scented stuff to make it smell real but have much less work and spend much less over the years.

9. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
Peanut butter fudge! My mom and I only usually make fudge near the holidays and I look forward to it so much! Our fudge is so different from regular store-style fudge so I love it.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
Giving! Honestly, I enjoy giving gifts sooo much! I give random gifts all year because I enjoy seeing the happiness on the faces of people I love (even though my bank account hates me for it). I always go way over the top in gifting for people.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
One of my favorite gifts is a tricycle I got when I was younger. I just remember being so beyond excited and riding it in circles around the bottom floor of my childhood home.

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I have already been at Walt Disney World, working and playing, for the holidays and I always wanted to do that. I would like to see Disneyland all dressed for the holidays and see the holiday parades and shows there.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I'm a pro-present wrapper. I will sit and wrap presents for hours. I'm on a elf level of wrapping. Pretty paper? Yes! Ribbon? Heck yes! Bow on top? You know it. Honestly, wrapping presents is one of my favorite things to do for the holidays.

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?
Last year, I came home the day before Christmas Eve and my sisters had no idea. They were shocked to see me. It was exciting knowing that I got to surprise them and make my parents happy by being home.

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
It was near the holidays, I was around eleven or twelve, and I remember being in the car with my mom. I kept asking her questions because I had my suspicions. Finally, she told me as we pulled into my neighborhood. She had to sit in the car in the garage with me because I was crying my eyes out. I love the idea of magic and it broke my heart. Plus, I was really, really upset that my parents had lied to me for years.

16. Do you make New Year's resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I usually do make New Year's resolutions and I try to stick to them as much as I can.

17. What makes the holidays special for you?

The holidays are special for me because I enjoy the music, the lights, and the overall feeling of the season. The holidays just add magic to the last month of the year.
