July: Planner FREEBIE

Happy July!

Man, did June fly or what? Seems like just yesterday I posted and BOOM... another month gone! I'm trying really hard with everything else going on to blog more often and post videos again. I just need to get myself into the groove and I'll be good to go!

It's the weekend of 4th of July which means pure summertime, beach days, BBQs, ice cream and so much more!

As I did for June, I made you another planner sheet for July. I hope you like and use them.

If you do, please let me know as I am not tracking the downloads. Tag me (@simplyalexasimone) so I can see what you create!

Also, let me know if you want me to make more and any themes you would like to see.

Wishes: A Magical Gathering One Last Time

The traffic is slowing, the questions are stopping and you can truly hear the music of Main Street U.S.A.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, in just 5 minutes we will present our night time fireworks spectacular Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams... And now, your host, Jiminy Cricket!"

"Why good evening folks, just look at this gathering of friends. Talk about magical. You're all here looking for some magic, aren't you? So where's all the magic you ask? Well, in just a wink, we'll find it together with a help of a few of our friends. Isn't that right Blue Fairy, ah, my lady?"

"Yes, Jiminy. This night is made for magic. We'll journey to the stars where dreams are born and together we'll discover the magic that makes wishes come true."

"Gather round folks. This I've got to see."

Then, a moment. The quietest Disney gets during the day. Everyone is waiting anxiously for those quiet chords to start. I stand, watching the crowd, knowing the exact moment it will begin. Months on the street haven't diminished my love for this moment. In fact, it has increased it.

I glance over to my best friends near me, enjoying the moment of calm before the post-show rush. They have their glow-with-the-show ears on and are smiling at in anticipation at the castle. They've sold too many glowing objects to count, but tonight both of their focus isn't on their cart and their role... it's where it should be: The Castle.

Then, it begins.

Leftover Easter Eggs?: DIY Upcycle

Easter has come and gone and the days in 2017 continue to fly by.

And while Easter brought me a yummy dinner and candy… I almost have too much candy. In addition, I have all of these plastic eggs now sitting in the corner of my room.

That’s when I had an idea. What if the extra candy and plastic eggs could be put to good use? So I headed to the one place we all go to for leftover items and DIYs: Pinterest.

Life update: April Showers...

Hello everyone, long time… not chat. And I really meant to! I promise, no, I SWEAR! Life has just been kind of insane the past month. I thought school and blogging was hard but working full-time and blogging? How do people do it?

If that caught your attention (or didn’t because why would you remember that much about my working life), I am now working FULL TIME. I am officially adult-ing! (Sorry if you hate that word but it’s true.)

In the first week of April, I finished my three-month internship to work full-time as a communications and social media coordinator. And while I am positive I have a lot in my head regarding the transition that I would love to talk about, I’ve been a little preoccupied.

On my last day of my internship, a Tuesday, my dad had to go to the hospital for emergency back surgery.

Be Our Guest:

-- Spoilers for the live-action film (and I guess the animated one if you seriously haven't freakin' watched it in the past 25 years) ahead! --

With Beauty and the Beast being one of my favorite Disney movies, I had high expectations for the live-action remake. Last Sunday, my friend Alyssa, Steven and I went to see the movie for the 11:45 AM showing. In my mind, I thought that there would not be too many people at the movies since it was a Sunday (with church services and all) and some people sleep in. Just to be safe though, we ordered tickets the night before.

Right as we were leaving, Steven checked online... our time was sold out! Thankfully, we left very early and had lots of time. We were at the theater about 45 minutes before the movie and were the first ones in the theater. Picking awesome, halfway-up seats, Steven and I set down our jackets and went to get snacks while we also waited for Alyssa.

5 Outfit Essentials for Transitional Winter to Spring Weather

Is it still winter or are we finally moving towards spring? I thought the latter the other day when my allergies has me sneezing like crazy and rubbing my eyes. Then, it snowed! Today it is over 60 degrees but it's supposed to drop 30 degrees and possibly snow tomorrow. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

With the weather going back and forth, I wake up every day with the hardest time figuring out what to wear.

Personal Reflection of 2016 - A Year in Pictures

Wow. 2016 was just… wow. What a year. 2016 changed me and made me even happier with who I am today and where I am going. However, to talk about this, I need to start from the beginning.

2015 was an interesting year for me. It came to a close with heartaches and a swift turn in my path I did not expect. Today, I look back and am glad my path changed to take me to where I am today.
