5 Outfit Essentials for Transitional Winter to Spring Weather

Is it still winter or are we finally moving towards spring? I thought the latter the other day when my allergies has me sneezing like crazy and rubbing my eyes. Then, it snowed! Today it is over 60 degrees but it's supposed to drop 30 degrees and possibly snow tomorrow. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

With the weather going back and forth, I wake up every day with the hardest time figuring out what to wear.

I have been wearing layers upon layers during this time of the year. By lunch, I usually shed the jacket and any other warm accessories and by dinner they are back on.

(Some of you are lucky enough to not really need a list like this because your weather is so much warmer than the northeast states. If so, I envy you and let me visit.)

Here are my top five outfit essentials for the in-between weather:

1. Boots

Whether it be booties, mid-calf or over the knee, boots keep you warm while also keeping your feet dry if it's raining or snowing. Pair them with a skirt on a warmer day for a spring feel.

2. Leggings

I say leggings are an essential all year, but in the up-and-down weather, you can't go wrong having fleece or an extra thick layer of leggings to keep you warm while you still look stylish. And on warmer days, go for the cotton but colorful! Plus, they are comfy as heck.

3. Denim Jacket

Denim jackets are perfect for a heavier layer on your arms while still light enough for the warmer but windy days. I love pairing them with skirts or bright pastel pants.

4. Scarves

Having light and thicker scarves help so much to keep you warm or stylish in the in-between weather. Adding bright colors of heavier scarves really helps with the feeling of spring even in the cold.

5. Cardigans

Cardigans are an awesome additional layer as they look stylish and professional and also can be easily removed and fit in a bag. Pastels, as always, bring out the feeling of spring.

I hope my outfit essentials for the transitional winter to spring weather helps you battle with this crazy up-and-down-and-all-around weather.
