Day 1 - Last Time Seeing Wishes (Unknowingly) - Disney's Polynesian Reso...

In September 2016, I went to visit Claudia in Florida, where she still resides. We spent our first evening going to the Polynesian Resort for Dole Whip and to watch Wishes across the Seven Seas Lagoon. Since we knew our only full day in Magic Kingdom would be spent during a Halloween party and therefore no regular Wishes, this was the best I would get.

Little did we know at the time as we sat at the Polynesian, Dole Whips in hand, and no music being pumped through, that it would be my last time ever seeing this show.

I wrote about my heartbreak of this show ending the day it did in May. You can read that here.

If I had known it was the last time I would see it, I would've watched it somewhere that music was being pumped through, or asked the lady next to me to stop talking on her phone.

I do not know if it is better or worse that I did not know this was the last time I would see the magical fireworks that got me through the hard work to attend Disney with my high school choir, spending a good majority of my senior trip in high school alone, the tough nights on the Disney College Program, or the major heartache I endured while living near Disney in 2015 and working on Main Street U.S.A.

But, it was indeed the last time I witnessed any aspect of the show with my own eyes. And, therefore, this small video is very special.

Afterwards, Claudia and I attended Disney Springs to see the renovations from Downtown Disney. They were shocking! Sadly, I wasn't in a vlogging zone yet and wanted to spend time in-the-moment and catching up with Claudia. That section of the video ending is abrupt and I apologize.

Here are some photos from that evening to extend the magic of this video:

Hugs, kisses, and thanks for watching and reading!
